about
it is to truth, for truth -- in regards to satya. please don't interpret it as me saying: 'this is the truth. see I got it! that is certainly not my intention at least.
ultimately, this piece is an effort and expression of the will to transcend ignorance. I hope that you do enjoy it. this 'piece' is the first of the sort for me.
it doesn't feel the same as 'songs' I've written in the past and it even has a sloka in it. I don't feel like it's mine. feel free to share.
lyrics
o mitwa
amigo, my friend
first class
---
[from lagaan:]
har sant kahe, saadhu kahe!
sach aur sahaas hai jiske maan mein
ant mein, jeet usi ki rahe
[translation/interpretation:]
oh, don't you know?
every saint and sage says
whoever has truth and courage,
in their heart, in their mind,
oh in the end, victory will be theirs
---
kneeling before the truth
tell me, what is there to lose?
following the love that flows
unto love, love we go
kneeling before the truth
oh what is there to lose?
oh, to know is to love
into the unknown I go
the truth shall set you free
the truth shall set you free
oh the truth shall set you free
the truth shall set you free
I am a fool
oh, what do I know?
I am a fool
but I want to see
I want to be free
I know I am a fool
and here, here I am.
the horizon calls
the truth, the truth will set you free
